CineSenseBy Bryzr Studio

YOUR FIRST CARD

Install CineSense.

For Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later. These steps follow the install guide included with the public Mac beta.

Install and open

  1. Download the latest release and open the ZIP to get CineSense.app.
  2. Drag CineSense into Applications and open it. If you open it from Downloads, the app offers to move itself into Applications.
  3. When macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet, choose Open. CineSense is signed by Bryzr Studio and notarised by Apple.
  4. Look for its SD-card icon in the menu bar. Once CineSense is in Applications, it starts at login; it does not register for login startup while running from Downloads.
  5. Insert a camera card. Allow access to removable volumes and notifications when macOS asks.
  6. Choose whether the card is yours or borrowed, name it, and choose your destination drives. Borrowed cards are always copied and never cleared.

Keep Copy selected

Copy is the default and leaves your card intact. Move is optional for your own cards and clears them only after the app’s required copy and check steps. Keep Copy selected for this beta.

Before formatting in your camera, open the day folder, play a few videos, inspect some photos, and check the file count. You are the final check. A cloud copy never makes a card safe to format.

Connect DaVinci Resolve Studio

  1. Use the paid Studio edition. The free edition does not support this external handoff.
  2. Open Resolve Studio with a project open.
  3. In Resolve, open Preferences → System → General and set “External scripting using” to Local. Save and restart Resolve if asked.
  4. In CineSense’s menu bar panel, choose DaVinci Resolve → Send Latest Ingest.

Optional extra tools and updates

Settings → Advanced → Set up extra tools installs tools for tasks such as converting older camcorder videos and identifying exact camera models. You need an administrator account on your Mac. Setup installs Homebrew if it is missing, then the extra tools; allow about 10–20 minutes and about 1 GB of disk space. If Apple’s Command Line Tools are also missing, they need roughly 2 GB more. Terminal asks for your Mac login password once; nothing appears while you type. The core app works without these optional tools.

CineSense checks for updates daily and offers them in its menu. Updates wait while work is in progress. Settings → About → Check for Updates checks now.

If something goes wrong

Leave the card and footage as they are. Choose Copy Diagnostics from the menu bar. Review what will be gathered; you can hide card and folder names. The app creates a folder in Downloads containing records and logs, without footage, passwords, or keys. It sends nothing automatically.

Compress that folder and email it to beta@bryzrstudio.com with what you did, expected, and saw, plus your camera/card, Mac, macOS, and CineSense versions. Open support for more help.
